Tia and Hamish’s story began over drinks at an Adelaide music venue in 2021, and their shared love of good food and wine has been part of their relationship ever since. So, a birthday weekend exploring the Barossa Valley couldn’t have been a more fitting setting for their engagement.
After a day visiting cellar doors, Hamish proposed beside the fire at their glamping accommodation overlooking the palms of Seppeltsfield. He celebrated the moment with a bottle of Hentley Farm bubbles gifted by Class A Jewellers, which, by perfect coincidence, was the very first winery Tia had booked for their trip.
Making the proposal even more special, Hamish had personally designed and customised Tia’s engagement ring with the Class A team, creating a piece completely unique to their story.
The Proposal
Hamish proposed to Tia at Barossa Valley on 25th July 2026.
We share a huge love and passion for all things wine, so we planned a trip to the Barossa Valley to celebrate my birthday, explore new wineries and discover some new favourite wines. We stayed in a beautiful glamping tent overlooking the stunning palms at Seppeltsfield. After spending all Friday & Saturday enjoying incredible food, amazing wine and visiting cellar doors, we returned to our accommodation. As Hamish was getting the fire going, he dropped to one knee and asked me to Marry him. He surprised me with a bottle of bubbles from Hentley Farm, which Class A Jewellers had gifted him when he bought the ring. It made the moment even more special because Hentley Farm was the very first winery I’d booked for us on the trip. It couldn’t have been a more perfect way to begin our next chapter together.

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
Everything about the ring is absolutely beautiful. My favourite part is knowing that Hamish designed and customised it himself, creating something that was completely unique to us. With the help of the amazing team at Class A Jewellers, he brought his vision to life, making it even more meaningful and incredibly special.
Hamish visited multiple jewellers and explored a range of different brands, but he kept coming back to Class A Jewellers. From the moment he walked through the door, he was drawn to the incredible attention to detail and the luxurious experience they create. The service he received throughout the entire process was exceptional, and he couldn’t be happier with his decision.
