Tatenda Elizabeth Muzondo and Zachary Elisha Lo’s love story began with simple campus lunches at Curtin University in Perth, moments that quietly evolved into a deep and enduring connection. What started as shared meals soon became a life built on creativity, intention and unwavering support for one another.
Zac proposed in November 2023 during a trip to Japan, choosing the breathtaking Rikugien Gardens in Tokyo as the setting. Surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage, and under the guise of filming a casual video, Zac led Tatenda to a bridge chosen especially for her love of the moon and poetry. There, in a moment that felt both intimate and cinematic, he asked her to marry him. Captured on Super 8 film, it was a proposal that perfectly reflected their story.
Their wedding journey honoured both intimacy and celebration. After two private ceremonies shared only with immediate family, Tatenda and Zac later hosted a grand destination wedding in Chiang Mai, Thailand, bringing together loved ones from every chapter of their lives for a truly unforgettable celebration.

The Wedding
Tatenda and Zachary shared their main wedding celebration in Chiang Mai, Thailand, following two intimate family ceremonies held earlier.
The wedding was held at The Heritage House and Garden, a venue close to Tatenda’s heart, and was envisioned as ‘Black Tie: Met Gala meets Bridgerton’. The grounds were transformed into a secret garden filled with elegance, warmth and romance, creating a multi-day experience that allowed guests to truly connect. Music flowed seamlessly from classical during the ceremony to jazz at cocktail hour, setting the tone for a celebration that felt elevated yet deeply personal.

The Rings
Tatenda and Zachary’s wedding bands were custom made by Class A Jewellers.
Tatenda’s ring was designed to resemble a cluster of stars, a meaningful symbol that reflected both her engagement ring and the magic of dancing under the stars on their wedding night. The design also thoughtfully incorporated elements of Tatenda’s original wedding ring, with those same details beautifully woven into Zachary’s band, creating a deeply personal connection between the two rings.
Tatenda also chose wedding jewellery that echoed the marquise shapes of her rings, describing them as reminiscent of constellations in the night sky.

What were your favourite moments from your wedding day?
Exchanging vows was the emotional heart of the day. Tatenda opened with a quote from Howl’s Moving Castle before reading a verse from the Book of Ruth. In a moment that left guests visibly moved, Zac began his vows with the exact same verse, completely unplanned. The shared words created a powerful moment of connection that left not a dry eye in the crowd.
Another highlight was seeing friends and family from completely different parts of their lives come together so effortlessly. By the time the dance floor opened, it felt as though everyone had known each other for years.

Tatenda and Zachary, a heartfelt congratulations to you both on your beautiful wedding.
It has been such an honour to be part of a love story so rich in meaning, intention and creativity. Creating the rings you’ll wear for the rest of your lives was incredibly special to our entire team, especially being able to incorporate elements of Tatenda’s original ring and weave those details into both designs. Knowing your rings feel deeply personal and symbolic of your journey together means the world to us.
