Sophie and Ahren’s story began in high school, where a friendship quietly grew into something deeper. A week after graduation they became inseparable, and five and a half years later Ahren proposed on Glenelg Beach. Sophie arrived thinking she was simply spending the day with her brother, unaware he was guiding her toward the moment she’d been waiting for. Down on the sand, Ahren had set up a beautiful picnic and paced nervously as she made her way along the shoreline. He met her halfway with flowers and watery eyes before leading her to the spot and asking the question he’d spent all morning preparing for. Sophie’s joy was instant and impossible to contain. They celebrated with a photoshoot organised by Ahren, champagne, and an intimate lunch at Forth, marking the perfect beginning to their next chapter together.
The Proposal
Ahren proposed to Sophie at Glenelg Beach on 1st June 2025
Sophie thought that she was having a day out with her brother, who unbeknownst to her was leading her towards what she has been eagerly waiting for. Ahren had spent most of the morning getting ready for the moment, gathering the flowers and picnic goods, then setting up the surprise. It took Sophie much longer than it should have for her to realise it was her proposal, not someone else’s. As Sophie walked along the beach towards Ahren. As Ahren awaited the long walk of Sophie in high heels he nervously moved towards her. He met Sophie half way with flowers, watery eyes and a smile. He led her to the picnic he had set up, positioned perfectly for the video and photos. He spoke beautifully from the heart, got down on one knee and asked the all important question. Which was met by overwhelming excitement, so much so Sophie couldn’t stop jumping up and down. Ahren had organised a photoshoot then and there with his talented cousin capturing the emotion of the day perfectly. They shared some champagne, well, what was left of it after it was sprayed. This was followed by a lovely intimate lunch at Forth to celebrate and Ahren was finally able to answer the many questions Sophie had for him.

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
I have been in love with the marquise shape since our second year of dating, and couldn’t go past it, even after trying on many other ring shapes and styles. I love how beautifully crafted it is and how much the diamond sparkles. It feels like I’m having a disco when I’m driving.
Sophie had been referred to Class A by a colleague and she and Ahren went in for a look. After going to a few other stores, we knew that Class A was the right fit for our next steps of choosing a ring. We felt at ease with the staff and comfortable that we were in safe hands.
