The Proposal

"The day started with my sister, two cousins and I making our way to some wineries to spend our afternoon and James going to Adelaide Oval to watch the Crows play. Well at least that’s what I thought…

The girls and I met up in the morning and departed for our day out. As we neared our first destination, my cousin suggested we make a pit stop at Al Ru Farm to take some photos to add to her photography collection. We made our way down the driveway onto the stunning property. My sister parked the car and we all got out, following my cousin’s lead. She began taking photos of the beautiful garden and path that lead us to the Hayshed. And there it was… the most breathtaking set up, comprised of a pathway lined with photos of our journey together, candles, flower petals, a sign and the love of my life, James, waiting at the end for me.

As I made my way towards James, my emotions were uncontrollable. James expressed his love for me, got down on one knee and popped the BIG question… “Nicolina, will you marry me?” I of course said “YES”, and James put the ring of my dreams on my finger. It was so unique and beautiful just like the love we share. It was PERFECT in every way. We popped champagne and took lots of photos whilst we celebrated.

Then we made our way to Seppeltsfield for lunch and celebrated the night away with our immediate family. Little did I know that all along, James worked closely with my sister, cousins, and his sister to organise this proposal for me. It really was a scene straight out of a fairy-tale. Our forever started with this magical moment and we can’t wait for this next chapter of our lives."
