Like many modern day relationships, Nicole and James' love story began with a match on Bumble. Despite James arriving a nerve-wracking 30 minutes late to their very first date, he still managed to make a lasting impression on Nicole and now, two years on, the couple are embarking on their next exciting chapter!
The Proposal
On 11th October 2023, James took Nicole back to the location of their first date to pop the big question!
Tell us about the proposal:
James had told me we were going out for dinner and to dress casual but nice, which was quite suss as he is not a planner. Instead of driving to dinner, he parked at the bottom of the walking track at Waite Conservation Reserve, where we had one of our first few dates. We hiked up to the lookout. I complained most of the way up that I should not be doing this in jeans.
Once we got to the lookout, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ started playing and I saw around 100 long stem roses shaped in a heart with the words 'marry me' lit up next to it. The sunset was perfect, and it was such a special moment. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, it was a very easy yes! My friend was hiding in the bushes and captured the entire moment.
What are you most looking forward to about being married?:
Continuing to experience all of life’s highs and lows and one day starting a family together.

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
I have always loved this design. It is such a classic timeless piece, and looks stunning on.
Why did you choose Class A?:
Class A are amazing! I’m not going to lie, I was one of those crazy girls who came in many times to pick out my perfect ring. Donna worked with me to understand exactly what I wanted and noted it down for my partner. I knew I could trust her to help me get exactly what I wanted.
