A month exploring Europe, a breathtaking Greek sunset and a proposal that felt straight out of a dream. Naomi and Jacob's engagement at the iconic Sarakiniko Beach in Milos was the perfect finale to their European adventure. After a love story that began by chance in an Adelaide bar and survived six months of long distance, Jacob surprised Naomi on the final evening of their trip with a proposal overlooking the Aegean Sea. With a bespoke pear-shaped engagement ring designed by Naomi herself and brought to life by the Class A team, their story is a beautiful reminder that the best endings are often just the beginning.
The Proposal
Jacob proposed to Naomi at Sarakiniko Beach in Milos on 24th May 2026
After spending a month travelling around Europe together, our last day of the trip in Milos Greece, Jacob took me to Sarakinko beach in the evening before dinner, we had walked along the beach and climbed up the cliffs looking out the ocean, while I was looking away he had gotten down on one knee, after proposing he pointed out a man with a camera who he had hired to take photos for us and had organised an engagement photo shoot straight after. The location was perfect for both of us as we both love nature and the ocean and it was so special to have the moment captured forever with incredible photos. I couldn’t have planned it better myself if I tried.
The Ring
Naomi's ring is a bespoke Class A design.
What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
I wanted to design something that was unique and felt like me. I’ve always loved the pear cut shape and I came up with the idea of having a curve in the band with the diamond sitting on top. Simple and elegant, with a twist.
Why did you choose Class A?
After working next door at Yolk for some time, I had already admired the stunning collections of rings for some time so I was very excited at the prospect of designing my own. I knew they would do an amazing job as I had already seen it firsthand. The girls in shop are all so friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. Josh was so helpful and professional with the initial consult and design process, bringing to life the image in my head. The jewellers who created and worked on it did a flawless job. Thankyou so much to the team at Class A for playing a part in my dream proposal.
