Liana and Anthony’s love story began with a chance moment in a nightclub, where a shared glance across the room led to an introduction through mutual friends. From there, they quickly became inseparable, finding time for one another even through COVID lockdowns. Since 2020, their relationship has grown into a deep and enduring partnership built on love, commitment and shared adventures.
Anthony’s proposal was nothing short of magical. While travelling through Japan, the couple arrived in Fujikawaguchiko for a one night stay, hoping to catch a glimpse of Mt Fuji. On one of the rare days the mountain was completely visible, they set off for a sunset walk, eventually discovering the stunning Fuji-san Deck. After wandering through a beautiful Japanese garden filled with flowers, ponds and greenhouses, Anthony asked Liana to take a photo. As she turned around, she found him down on one knee, holding out her breathtaking ring and asking her to marry him. Overwhelmed with emotion, Liana said yes through happy tears, marking a truly unforgettable moment at the foot of Mt Fuji.
The Proposal
Anthony proposed to Liana at Fujikawaguchiko, Fuji on 26th November 2025
We were in the middle of our Japan holiday and just about to spend one night in a BEAUTIFUL hotel in Fujikawaguchiko. We got settled and wanted to go for a walk while the sun was still up so that we could get a good view of Mt Fuji. We had very luckily gotten one of the very rare days where Mt Fuji was completely visible and were keen on getting some good photos. The people working at the hotel had told us to walk straight up the main road and the mountain would eventually get very clear. As we set off and started walking we did start seeing the mountain a lot clearer but Anthony was not satisfied with our views being from beside a busy street. He was looking on his maps as we were walking and eventually saw “Fuji-san Deck” pop up and suggested that we go there and see what it was. It turned out to be the most gorgeous Japanese style garden that we had to walk through to get to a viewing deck. They also had some greenhouses where there were lots of pretty flowers and small ponds with fish and we decided to have a walk through. Anthony’s phone had died so he was asking me to take some photos, and at one stage he asked me to take a photo of some red flowers. After I had taken the photo I turned around only to find Anthony on one knee and holding out the STUNNING ring, and he asked me to marry him. I of course said a very enthusiastic yes and could not stop the happy tears from flowing.
The Ring
Liana's ring is a bespoke emerald diamond ring.
What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
My favourite aspect of the ring is definitely the details on either side of the main stone which look as if they are flowers that reach upwards. It gives it such a "fairy-like" unique look that I love so so much.
Why did you choose Class A?
We chose class A for their high quality designs, customisation options and the lovely staff members. Every time we come in we are met with such welcoming and kind faces that all have patience for me and my desire to try on every single thing in the shop.
I would like to thank every single person involved in the creation process of my ring, it is the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen in my life. I have not stopped staring at it or admiring it since I got it.
