Kristie & Joshua's Hawaii Proposal Story | Class A Jewellers

Kristie and Joshua's love story began seven years ago when they met through mutual friends as university students. A first date soon followed and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Fast forward seven years, and Josh chose their anniversary to ask the most important question of all. After a pre-dawn drive to the secluded shoreline, he got down on one knee as the sun rose over the mountains and white sand, creating a moment neither of them will ever forget.

The Proposal

Josh proposed to Kristie at Waimanalo Beach in Hawaii on 18th August 2025

We were holidaying in Hawaii, enjoying the warm weather and sunshine. Josh mentioned there was a really beautiful sunrise he wanted to see at one of the beaches in Hawaii, so on the morning of our 7 year anniversary, we woke up at 4am, and drove an hour in the dark, only to reach the most beautiful beach. Surrounded by stunning mountains, and pure white sand, we were one of the only few people at Waimanalo that morning. We enjoyed standing there watching the sun come up, only for Josh to get down on one knee and pop the question. So caught up in the moment, I didn't realise there was a photographer hiding in the bushes - a perfect surprise to capture such a perfect moment!

The Ring

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
My ring is the Grace oval diamond which was my dream ring. I always wanted something simple and classic, and love how elegant and timeless my ring is.

Why did you choose Class A?

Josh chose Class A as they were extremely easy to work with and very accommodating. We've bought a few pieces from them in the past, and the staff are always so helpful and provide such a personalised service.
