A high school love story, a dream proposal and a lifetime in the making. Karen and Simon's engagement at Sydney's Observatory Hill was every bit as thoughtful as it was romantic. After meeting in Year 12 and falling in love the very same week, Simon planned the perfect proposal around everything Karen had always dreamed of; a beautiful rotunda, the gardens she loves and a surprise celebration with their closest family and friends. From the heartfelt proposal to the custom designed engagement ring that brought Karen's vision to life, every detail reflected a love story more than five years in the making.
The Proposal
Simon proposed to Karen at Observatory Hill Sydney on 12th March 2026.
We planned a trip to Sydney, where my fiance planned the most beautiful and thoughtful proposal, I had always said I wanted to be proposed to in a rotunda and he knows I love to have dates at botanic gardens. He planned a “fancy dinner” with our friends near the Sydney Botanic Gardens, so having a suspicion of what was about to happen, I wore my favourite dress and on the way to the “dinner” we conveniently passed the Observatory Hill rotunda where Simon proposed with the most beautiful set up, surprising me with our family there. We had a photoshoot there and after he surprised me with an engagement dinner party with our immediate family and closest friends. I couldn’t have been happier! - Karen

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
My beautiful diamond is all I ever dreamed of, the perfect ratio and amazing quality.
