Zac and Anneka met as leaders on a Christian summer camp in 2021. They had actually met about six times prior throughout school, but only officially hit it off on the camp. Anneka describes it as "low-key love at first interaction" and the couple started dating almost immediately!
The Proposal
After around two and half years together, Zac popped the question on 6th April 2024 at the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.
Tell us about the proposal:
Zac took me to Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens. We grabbed a coffee from the coffee truck and walked around enjoying the beautiful autumn colours (our favourite time of year). We casually strolled for a while until we came across a quite corner near the rotunda where a little picnic had been set up. There was no one sitting there but it was perfectly set up (I was internally hyperventilating trying to work out if that was for us or not!).
Zac continued to lead me over towards the set up where I found photos of us, the name tags from the camp that we met on, some cute blankets and cushions, a bottle of bubbles, some gorgeous flowers, a platter of goodies and of course him on bended knee with the ring of my dreams! To make it all the better, one of our best friends was hiding in the bush capturing the moment so now we have some gorgeous photos of the day and exact moment he asked me to marry him! What a gorgeous day!"
What are you most looking forward to about being married?:
We are most looking forward to serving the Lord in our marriage, living together and doing life everyday. As young Christians, there are so many things that marriage means to us, but we truly can't wait to serve in our careers as teachers together, bring others to know God and live life to the fullest with our family and friends!
The Ring
What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
It is the ring of my dreams! It is an emerald cut lab grown diamond, with a hidden halo to add that radiant cut looking sparkle, double claws for that love-heart look and white gold of course! I love the emerald cut and how glassy and dare I say, classy it looks, with the sparkly touch from the halo that catches the light at every angle. It is stunning, perfectly me and so gorgeous!
Why did you choose Class A?:
My beautiful grandma introduced me to Class A Jewellers when I was about 12 years old. She brought me to the showroom for the first time to pick a ring that she was gifting me for my confirmation. We tried on a million options and I just feel in love with the jewellery, the customer service and rings! From there, I visited a few other times but most recently with my Mum who was gifting me my dream ring for my 21st birthday. The Class A team worked so hard to replicate a ring that my great grandpa bought for my Mum for her 21st that I have seen her wear everyday of her life - I wanted one exactly like it to keep that tradition alive. Again, blown away with the product! So when it came to engagement rings, there truly was no other place!
