Angel & George

Angel and George first connected on a dating app, soon discovering they shared many mutual friends. After two years together, George popped the question on the most romantic day of the year; Valentine's Day.

The Proposal

Tell us about the proposal:
George and I had dinner at Henley Beach, enjoying an AB with an ocean view. We then went on a cruise (George’s favourite thing to do in his Dad's VK Commodore) and arrived at Semaphore at approximately 10:30pm where George and I decided to walk down the jetty. We got halfway along when George said he had to “tie his shoelace”. I was looking into the ocean, then turned around to face him, not realising he was down on one knee holding open the box with the ring. It took me 10 minutes after lots of laughing to finally say yes. Now we’re engaged and I have a fiancé!

What are you most looking forward to about being married?:
I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my amazing partner. I’m also really looking forward to getting married on Valentine’s Day in 2026! (It’s going to be a special day because George had proposed on Valentine’s Day this year).

The Ring

Angel's ring features a breathtaking radiant cut diamond on a sleek, gold band.

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
I originally wanted an emerald cut ring however, when George and I went into Class A Jewellers, the man who helped us told us about the radiant cut and said it sparkles a lot more. Since then, I was set on having a radiant cut diamond. I love the simple plain band so that the radiant diamond stands out!

Why did you choose Class A?:
We chose to have a look at Class A because we knew they had a ring bar so we could try on all the different styles. George was comfortable going back as that’s the only jeweller we went to look at rings, so he wanted to make it that more special by purchasing the ring from there.

Congratulations Angel and George and best wishes for your 2026 nupitals!
