Amy and Matt’s love story began eight years ago when they met while working at Woolworths. Fast forward to March 2024, and Matt pulled off the most romantic proposal at the Port Elliot Soldiers Memorial Garden—one of their favorite spots overlooking the stunning Horseshoe Bay.
The Proposal
Tell us about the proposal:
Matt planned a weekend away to one of our favourite places, Encounter Bay. This was a place I loved going with my family as a kid so it’s a special place. We had a lovely dinner at The Beach House Cafe before Matt packed a picnic and drove us to Horseshoe Bay. We went to one of our favourite spots in the memorial garden and sat and looking out at the water. This is where Matt got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
What are you most looking forward to about being married?:
Spending the rest of my life with my favourite person, going on adventures and making memories together.
The Ring
Amy's ring is white gold with an oval shaped diamond and a hidden halo. "I love the way it sparkles in the light!". The hidden halo absolutely makes the ring! I wasn’t sure if I wanted one of not and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
Why did you choose Class A?:
A friend had recommended Class A to us so we had gone to look at rings a while ago. I knew that I liked the oval cut but Matt decided on the rest. He chose very well!
