What started as a chance meeting on a lively pub crawl turned into a love story that simply refused to fade. Abbey and Cian first crossed paths through mutual friends, sharing laughs, drinks and an undeniable spark. Life took them in different directions for a while, but when they found each other again at just the right time, that spark became something real. Five years later, during one of their much-loved sunset picnics at Glenelg South Beach, Cian turned an ordinary Monday into an unforgettable moment. With the sun dipping below the horizon and the ring he could no longer keep secret, he proposed right there on the sand, making it the easiest yes and the most perfect beginning to their next chapter.
The Proposal
Cian proposed to Abbey at Glenelg South beach on 30th June 2025
It was just another Monday, a regular day at work for Abbey and our usual sunset picnic at Glenelg Beach, something we love to do when the weather's good. Nothing out of the ordinary… or so she thought. Earlier that day, Cian had picked up the ring from Class A Jewellers and couldn’t wait a second longer. (He’s not great at keeping secrets!) By that afternoon, the ring was burning a hole in his pocket. So right there on the beach, with the sun setting and everything feeling perfect, he pulled out the most amazing ring Abbey had ever seen — and proposed. It turned out to be the best Monday we could’ve ever imagined.
The Ring
Abbey's ring is a bespoke adaptation of our Class A signature Toni trilogy.
What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
I’m honestly obsessed with my ring especially the thick band, which gives it such a bold, timeless feel. The emerald cut diamonds are absolutely stunning, and the trilogy design just takes it to another level. I didn’t actually know the meaning behind a trilogy ring until Cian explained it. It represents our past, present, and future together and now it means even more to me because of that. Everyone who sees it says how unique and beautiful it is, and I love that it just feels so me. Cian couldn’t have chosen better.
Why did you choose Class A?
Cian stumbled across Class A Jewellers and decided to pop in and straight away, the vibe of the place just felt right. He ended up having an amazing experience with one of the staff members and knew right then that this was where he’d design the ring. It all came together from there, and he created my absolute dream ring!
We are just blessed to have had such a wonderful experience and we cannot wait to design our wedding bands with the team at Class A Jewellers.
