Chloe and Conor’s story almost ended before their first date, after a dating app raincheck left Conor convinced he’d been ghosted! Thankfully, Chloe tracked him down on Instagram, and a beachside first date filled with hours of conversation soon followed.
Just shy of two years later, Conor planned a romantic proposal during their holiday in Fiji. With the help of the InterContinental resort team, he arranged an intimate beachside setting with flowers, candles and a hidden photographer to capture the moment, before surprising Chloe with her dream ring, created with Keeley and the Class A team.
The Proposal
Connor proposed to Chloe at The Intercontinental, Fiji on 14th June 2026.
Conor proposed during a holiday in Fiji, knowing he wanted to go the extra mile to make the moment special, especially because Chloe spends so much of her life being there for others and expecting nothing in return. He secretly planned everything for months, from working with Keeley at Class A to create Chloe’s dream ring, to organising a photographer and coordinating with the resort staff. Somehow, he managed to keep it all a surprise despite a few close calls, including the resort mistakenly congratulating them on their “honeymoon” before he had even proposed!
Chloe and Conor had been engagement ring shopping together, so she knew a proposal was on the horizon, but she still didn’t expect it to happen that day.
When they arrived at the beautiful InterContinental Resort, Conor suggested going for a walk. Knowing Chloe well enough to know she’d choose a nap instead, he used the opportunity to scope out the scenery and brief the hotel staff on his plan. He returned to their room and told Chloe to get ready for a fancy dinner.
On their way to the restaurant, they walked along the beach where Conor had arranged a mat surrounded by flowers and candles. He had also organised a hidden photographer to capture the special moment, something particularly meaningful to Chloe as she adores photos.
It was simple, private and perfect in every way. Chloe couldn’t have asked for anything more.
The Ring
I adore how whimsical and romantic my ring feels. I wanted something that felt timeless, feminine, and a little bit magical, and the design captures that perfectly. My favourite aspect is the delicate marquise side stones surrounding the gorgeous oval diamond, it it feels both classic and unique.
Why did you choose Class A?
Finding the perfect ring was such a special experience. Chloe knew she wanted something timeless, romantic and uniquely her, but initially felt overwhelmed by all the different styles available. Keeley and the team at Class A made the process effortless, helping refine her vision and bringing it to life with incredible care and attention to detail. We also loved supporting a South Australian family business and appreciated how approachable and genuinely invested the team were throughout the process. As an added surprise, we later discovered Chloe's grandfather had purchased one of her grandmother's rings from Class A, making the experience even more meaningful.
