Some love stories begin with a spark. Beatriz and Connor's began with friendship, resilience, and unwavering support through life's most challenging moments.
The pair first met at work in 2021 and quickly became close friends. What started as a simple conversation soon grew into a bond that would carry them through more than either could have imagined. When Beatriz was diagnosed with brain cancer at just 19 years old, Connor stood by her side through every step of her journey, from surgery and recovery to the countless challenges that followed. As her best friend and greatest support, he helped her rediscover hope, happiness, and purpose during one of the most difficult periods of her life. Despite having plans to move to Canada, Connor chose to stay, and together they built a future neither of them could have predicted.
Three and a half years later, Connor planned a proposal that was every bit as thoughtful and personal as their relationship.
The Proposal
Connor proposed to Beatriz at Blowhole Beach on 22nd November 2025.
I had an inkling of the date it was going to happen on, as Connor had to make sure I did not have any clients booked, I did however have NO idea about the plan. We dropped off our puppy, Butter at Connor’s Pop’s house, and I was under the impression we’d be gone for a couple hours and then back later that afternoon.
We went for a LONGGGG drive, and the weather was looking worse the longer we drove. We arrived at a hiking trail, and began our descent into the trail that was meant to conclude at Blowhole Beach. However half way through the hike, it started to pour HEAVILY, so we found a touch of cover and then Connor pulled out this “golden snitch”. The Golden Snitch is an ode to Harry Potter - a series in which we are both big fans of. I had no idea what it was for, I thought perhaps it had a clue of somewhere we had to go to. He then began his speech, got down on one knee, got me to open the snitch ring box with the neck place pendent he had given me earlier that day and then there was the most beautiful ring. We then ran back to the car, dried off where he said we’d be going out to lunch to a steakhouse and actually not going home that night.
Was kind of hard in that respect because neither of us really packed especially for poor weather followed by 40 degree weather, because he really wanted that element to be a surprise and if he had tried to pack, I would’ve found out, but was still super lovely!

What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
It’s just perfect! I love that Connor was able to customise the inside band with an emerald, which is my favourite stone, but still have the most beautiful marquise diamond. I am also so happy I was able to get such a beautiful ring in my size!!
Why did you choose Class A?
I have always loved Class A as they just deliver the most stunning designs that are also top quality, and Connor knew you were my dream jeweller. I have gotten two permanent bracelets through Class A, one with Connor also. I chose Class A for my permanent bracelets because I wanted something physical that permanently connected my best friend and I, and then Connor and I - but I also wanted something “pretty” that I could still wear amongst all my hospital visits and MRIs as they always made me feel and look really worse for wear. I definitely plan on investing into proper pieces through Class A, once the finances permit of course :)
