Alexys and Daniel’s love story began in 2017 after a few DMs led to a magical first date at a rooftop bar in Melbourne, where they bonded over sunset drinks—a theme that has remained a beautiful constant in their relationship.
The Proposal
Tell us about the proposal:
Daniel and I had a family photoshoot booked with our 2 boys, as sunset approached we made our way to a park in alberton with the photographer snapping candid photos of us just being a family. Then while covered in ice cream from cleaning it off of our sons, Daniel got down on one knee and popped the question. The surprise and emotion flooded in and our photographer was able to catch it all. Perfectly chaotic as is our life with 2 boys 1&3yrs. Shortly after the proposal we packed our bags for port Lincoln and coffin bay to celebrate with bubbles and oysters to let it all sink in! Bliss!
What are you most looking forward to about being married?:
The party we get to share with our loved ones and all of us sharing a surname as a family.
The Ring
Alexys' ring is a Toi et Moi design, featuring a green oval sapphire and pear cut diamond.
What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
After having the diamond and sapphire for many years we went in to see the jewellers at Class A and spoke about a design idea we had to bring both stones together into one ring. I just love its uniqueness, the colour of the sapphire and the french name for the design, toi et moi, meaning “you and i”.
Why did you choose Class A?:
We chose Class A Jewellers after words of praise from family members. Daniel our Jewellery Designer had an incredible eye for detail and was incredibly patient with us. I am now over the moon with my ring, thanks again Class A and Daniel especially.
Congratulations to these two on their engagement!
