The Couple
Tell us about how you two first met:
Tom and I met when we were 14 years old. We grew up a few streets away from each other and instantly became best friends. We grew up together, into teenagers and then young adults. All the while remaining best mates. In 2016 as 21 year olds, we started working together at the pub. We became closer as friends and eventually recognised that we had always felt something stronger than friendship for each other. We started dating and the rest is history. We now own a house and a beautiful fur baby Gilly. The biggest blessing in a lifetime to fall in love with my best friend.
The Proposal
After nearly eight years together, Tom popped the question on the 9th of February at one of their favourite places, the Canadian snowfields.
Tell us about the proposal:
Tom and I both love snow holidays. He snowboards and I ski. My parents had me on skis before I could walk and it is a very special pastime for my family. In 2014/15 I moved to Whistler for the winter season as a ski instructor. When I came home and started dating Tom, I knew one day I had to take him back to Whistler to share my memories and experiences with him. Our first holiday since covid (our first ski trip since 2017!) and on our last day (a perfect blue bird day) he took me to the highest peak on Whistler mountain and dropped a knee. I don't even remember saying yes as I was too busy crying. My most perfect proposal, in my most favourite place with my most favourite person in the whole world.
What are you most looking forward to about being married?:
Being Mrs Rogers. And a lifetime with my best friend in the whole wide world.
The Ring
Tom selected our signature round brilliant solitaire design, JESSICA.
What is your favourite aspect of your ring?
I love a simple, modern and timeless style.
Why did you choose Class A?:
Guilty as charged - about two years ago I went to Class A with my mum to try on some styles in case Tom popped the question. I fell in love with the Jessica style and left my details with the wonderful sales staff. Tom subsequently attended and looked up my details and locked in my exact ring (plus an extra 0.75 carats - I am so lucky!)
