Brilliance by Class A has been created for those who want the finest diamonds available.
All diamonds within Brilliance by Class A have a XXX grading:
- - Excellent Cut
- - Excellent Symmetry
- - Excellent Polish
A diamond’s Cut is considered the most important characteristic of a diamond, as this determines the amount of brilliance and fire that is seen when viewing a diamond. A perfectly cut diamond will appear very brilliant, whereas a poorly cut diamond can appear dark and lifeless, regardless of its colour and clarity.
The Symmetry of a diamond refers to the exactness of shape and arrangement of facets. Each facet is like a mirror, so when the facets are symmetrically aligned the light is reflected directly out of the diamond and into the viewer’s eye, showing maximum brilliance. These diamonds offer exceptional beauty.
Polish influences how well light is able to pass through a diamond. It is a very important attribute in determining a diamond's overall brilliance. Diamonds with poor polish are significantly less brilliant as they have microscopic polish lines which reduce the amount of light that enters or exits the diamond.
HEARTS AND ARROWS
‘Hearts and Arrows’ is the term given to describe the uniform patterns visible in a round brilliant cut diamond with a XXX grading. When the diamond is viewed from the bottom, eight perfectly symmetrical hearts can be seen, and when viewed from the top, eight symmetrical arrows.
Every round brilliant cut diamond within Brilliance by Class A is a Hearts and Arrows diamond.
Class A Jewellers purchases diamonds only from those countries that are full participants in the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS). The Kimberley Process (KP) is a joint governments, industry and civil society initiative to stem the flow of conflict diamonds – rough diamonds used by rebel movements to finance wars against legitimate governments.
Brilliance diamonds have been certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), regarded as the world’s most respected authority in the diamond industry. Your diamond comes with a GIA Diamond Grading Report and its unique GIA Report number which is laser inscribed on the girdle of the diamond, legible only at high magnification.
