"Joseph proposed in the most memorable way. We are beach lovers, so he wanted a setting that was meaningful. He told me we were meeting some friends for breakfast near the Seacliff boardwalk, which we do all the time so nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Once we arrived, he said our friends were running late so "let’s take the opportunity to go for a scenic beach walk". As we were walking along we came across a beautiful boho teepee setup in a hidden corner of the boardwalk. Joseph encouraged me to go inside and check it out with him. Once we were standing instead this stunning tepee, surrounded by flowers, champagne, a beautiful romantic platter of strawberries and chocolate, I said to Joseph "we need to leave. This is obviously for someone else" and he responded "it’s for us". From his words, my eyes filled with the happiest tears as Joseph stood in front of me saying the most beautiful words and then dropped down to his knee. I have never felt so close to someone before. Joseph being his romantic self, had more planned…
After we enjoyed the sea view from instead the teepee sipping our champagne, we started to walk back to our car when he said, "when we get home, you need to pack a bag". To my surprise, he took me back to where it all started; he had a room booked at the Mayfair Hotel, where we first met at the Hennessy Rooftop Bar. After a day of surprises and celebrations, we were enjoying a champagne overlooking the Adelaide CBD at the Hennessy Bar when Joseph asked me to turn around and behind us were both our immediate families. Tears filled my eyes again. The final surprise, our families meeting us as Joseph had booked out the entire restaurant at the Mayfair Hotel for an intimate engagement dinner."
The Wedding Rings
"Melissa: A white gold circle leaf diamond band - I wanted a slight contrast to my oval halo diamond engagement ring. The rings compliment each other very elegantly.
Joseph: A platinum band. I wanted something simple and classic. Something to last a lifetime."
"There are too many to count! But we loved our first look. It was important to us to have an intimate moment together before we started our formalities."
