"It was the day after my best friend’s wedding, and we were meant to fly back home to Sydney after spending 10 days over Christmas and NYE in Adelaide with our friends and family. Joey insisted we go for one last walk and coffee with our friends down at Henley Beach before jumping on our flight. I was stressed about packing and reluctantly said yes (I was being a bit of a pain in the butt). We walked to the jetty where there was a huge sign and bottle of champagne which said 'Will you marry me!' - such a beautiful shock. Turns out my friend (who is now my Maid of Honour!) had been busy making the sign in secret! It was so special - the location, my friends and family who were involved, and the level of thought and detail which Joey had put into it, I honestly felt like the luckiest woman alive!"
"Another part of the story which made the proposal so special, was that Joey chose the engagement ring with the help of our very close friend Michelle at Class A Jewellers - Joey even did a sneaky day trip to Adelaide to pick the ring without me even knowing! I even worked with the team to create a bespoke engagement ring for Joey and we both love and cherish them every day!"
"We were so lucky to have so many friends and family members involved with the creation of our wedding. Joey’s sister Danielle sang as we walked down the aisle, our very good friend Father Dan was our priest and celebrant, my Dad made the timber boards on top of the tables, the rosemary and olive branches were from my families backyards, my aunty made our incredible cake, Joeys best mate was our DJ, another good friend of ours created our invitations - so much love went into every little element and it made everything so much more special on the day. However, my absolute favourite moment would have to be seeing my husband's face as I walked down the aisle. Nothing will ever compare to the happiness I felt in that moment."
