Merry Christmas, From Class A Jewellers

It’s no secret that this year has been a different one - one that has seemingly thrown us in the deep end and challenged us, forcing us to adapt, form new routines and grow. Plans and celebrations have been cancelled, trips to visit loved ones postponed, relationships faced complications and hurdles we never could have imagined existing.

It’s safe to say, however, that despite the seeming heaviness of all of these changes, we’ve adapted to them in ways that have forced us to think outside the box when it comes to keeping in touch with loved ones, and carrying on with our “normal lives” as best we can.

As a small local business, we’re grateful that this time has presented an opportunity for people to focus on shopping locally and within SA. This Christmas, we’d like to shine a light on our fellow local business owners in appreciation of the many challenges they’ve faced and overcome during the past year!

During a time when many of us are feeling the itch to get away, this holiday period presents the perfect opportunity to re-discover all that lies within our own abundant state. It wasn’t long after the forced cancellation of a lot of our overseas (and even interstate) travel plans that we realised how ideal an opportunity this was to explore our own state a little more. From our world-class wineries to our vast, untouched coastline, it’s not easy to run out of things to do and see!

To help inspire you, we’ve comprised a short list of SA destinations, getaways and activities that are perfect to take advantage of this holiday season. We know we certainly will be!

Holiday Accommodation

One thing we’ve been seeing a lot of in recent years is a rise of some seriously jaw-dropping holiday accommodations popping up around SA. From the Adelaide Hills to the Yorke Peninsula, we’re absolutely spoiled for choice with places to stay.

Some of our favourites include:

  • My Sister and the Sea - Marion Bay

Inspired by family holidays spent lazing about on the beach by day and gazing up at an endless sea of stars by night, My Sister and the Sea is the perfect spot for a family holiday or a trip with friends. The eclectic decor and proximity to the ocean are just some of the features that make this place a standout spot for a unique summer holiday!

  • Discovery Parks - Streaky Bay Foreshore

For endless family fun, Streaky Bay is the ultimate destination. Rock pools, sand dunes, conservation parks and seafood trails are just some of the things Streaky Bay is known for. Christmas morning on the beach has never looked more tempting!

Sitting high on 16 acres, the property is surrounded by endless iconic wineries and nature walks. You’ll be able to take advantage of an array of nearby restaurants, weekend markets, fruit picking and cafes - or stay in for a peaceful escape!

Some of our bucket-list items include:

  • Christmas Gift Market - Plant 4 Bowden

Bursting with local Adelaide makers, creatives and small businesses, this is the perfect spot to snag a unique, handmade gift for a loved one. Plant 4 also provides a great spot for a mid-week wine or a weekend brunch on other days!

While our Christmas celebrations may be a little more low-key than usual this year, perhaps we can see it as an opportunity to be thankful for all the blessings we have right at our fingertips - for our homes, our families, our friends, our health and our communities.

Whether you’ll be celebrating with a backyard barbeque, a morning dip at the beach, visiting a loved one or enjoying some "me time", we hope your Christmas is filled with love and laughter.

Best wishes, from the Class A Jewellers team
