The Proposal

After spending much of their young childhood chasing each other around baseball fields, Stefan eventually caught his girl.  After dating for eight years, Stef decided that the beautiful Shannon was to be his girl for life.

Prior to heading off for seven months to play baseball for Team Australia in Japan and then to the US with The Boston Red Sox Major League Organisation, Stef arranged a surprise picnic at Carrick Hill on a hot summer’s day in February 2013.

“After we walked the grounds, Stef got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.  I was beyond surprised as I thought an engagement would be the last thing on his mind as he was planning his trip away, but there it was – a beautiful engagement ring and my best friend asking me to be his wife.  I cried with tears of joy and couldn’t wipe the smile off my face”

The Ring

A six claw solitaire, featuring a Brilliance by Class A diamond in a platinum knife-edge band.

“The ring design was all Stef.  It’s everything and more than I could have ever dreamt it would be.  It’s the most beautiful piece of jewellery I own, along with my wedding band of course.  It’s timeless, classic and very “me” – he did a great job”

Favourite Moment

“Walking down the aisle towards Stef as our song played whilst all our closest family and friends watched – it’s something I’ll never forget.  Once I saw him, all my nerves just floated away and that moment has to be one of the best in my life … especially since he shed a few tears.  It was all just so beautiful.”
